Clinical observation on treatment of 123 cases of AIDS with therapy of replenishing qi and detoxicating

Abstract
Objective To observe the curative effect of the therapy of replenishing qi and detoxicating on AIDS. Method The patients (n=123) were treated with the decoction including 16 kind of herbs with the effects of replenishing qi and detoxicating for 24 weeks and the symptom changes and CD4 were observed. Result The symptoms, such as body weight decrease, tetter and fever, were relieved to a different degree in the patients, and CD4 cell count was changed from 150 before the treatment to 347 after the treatment (P0.01). Conclusion The therapy of replenishing qi and detoxicating can relieve significantly the symptoms and influence the immunity of AIDS patients.
