Clinical observation of curing 23 patients with post-traumatic brain syndrome by acupuncture of tonifying kidney and replenishing qi

Objective:To observe the effect of acupuncture of tonifying the kidney and replenishing qi on post-traumatic brain syn-drome.Methods:Forty-six patients with post-traumatic brain syndrome were divided into therapy group(n=23) and control group(n=23) randomly.The patients of control group were treated with conventional therapy,and the patients of therapy group were treated with acupuncture of tonifying the kidney and replenishing qi for 3 months additionally.This method was according to the theory of the differ-entiation of symptoms and signs of traditional Chinese medicine.Results:The effective rate of therapy group was 91.3%,and that of con-trol group was 56.5%(P0.05).Conclusion:The method of acupuncture of tonifying the kidney and replenishing qi has obvious therapeu-tic effect on post-traumatic brain syndrome,and this therapy deserves to be further investigated.
