Research on effect of nourishing Yin, replenishing Qi and detoxicating on systemic lupus erythematosus.

Objectives:To research the clinical effect and regulation of nourishing yin,replenishing qi and detoxicating on systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)with qi-yin deficiency.Methods:Nourishing yin,replenishing qi and detoxicating combined with glucocorticosteriod were used to treat SLE.The clinical symptoms,laboratory index and partial immune items before and after treatment were observed and compared with those of healthy people. Results:52 cases were included,the symptoms of statistically significant improvement were oral ulcer,fatigue, hectic fever,insomnia,palpitation(P0.001).The SLEDAI decreased obviously after therapy(P0.001).WBC,LY and ESR were improved statistically(P0.01or P0.001).Titers of ANA and anti-dsDNA antiboby of the patients decreased after therapy(P0.01).C 3 of the patients notably increased after therapy(P0.001).The research showed that TNF-α(P0.001),IL-6(P0.05),β 2 -MG(P0.001)in the patients'serum were much more higher than those of healthy volunteers,after the therapy of traditional Chinese medicines,TNF-α(P0.001)and IL-6(P0.05)decreased, butβ 2 -MG had not changed.Conclusions:Nourishing yin,replenishing qi and detoxicating method could decrease the patients'titers of ANA and anti-dsDNA antibody,increase C3,adjust the unbalance of cytokines,show positive conform functions and thus make the immune system balance again.
