Abstract
[Objective] The synthesis of isoamyl chloroacetate using sodium bisulfate as catalyst was studied.[Method] The influencing factors of synthesis reaction were investigated and the optimal conditions were studied.[Result] The results showed that sodium bisulfate is an excellent catalyst for synthesizing isoamyl chloroacetate. The optimum conditions are as follow:molar ratio of isoamyl alcohol to chloroacetic acid is 1.2∶1,the quantity of catalyst is 1.0 g/0.10 mol chloroacetic acid, the quantity of n-Hexane is 15 ml/0.10 mol chloroacetic acid, the reaction temperature is 74-98 ℃,and the reaction time is 1.5 h.And under the optimum conditions its yield can reach over 92.40%.[Conclusion] The study can provide the scientific basis for sodium bisulfate better applying in synthesis of isoamyl chloroacetate.
