Abstract

Objective:To study the relative among the self-esteem levels,social support and coping styles of normal college students.Methods:SES scale,SSRS scale,Coping Style Questionaire were administered to 428 normal college students.Results:1.The coping styles are listed in descending order of their means of normal college students that is solving problems,seeking to help,withdrawal,fantasy,rationalization.2.The relative among the self-esteem levels,social support and coping styles of normal college students is significant.3.Both self-esteem levels and social support were positive predictor of normal college students' coping styles such as solving problems and seeking to help.Self-esteem levels and self-esteem levels predicted self-condemn,withdrawal,fantasy and rationalization.
