Abstract
By investigating 600 normal college students with the questionnaires of coping styles and perception of social support, this paper has found that there are mainly three kinds of coping styles among college students: students of problem and seeking for help, students of withdrawing and self-remorse,and students with both the characteristics of the previous two(the moderate one).Meanwhile, there is a significant difference in coping styles’ distribution between different gender(χ2=10.61,P0.01),and also a notable difference of the average score in the questionnaires of the previous three types of solving problem, asking for help and rationalizing(t= 2.58~4.30,P0.01~0.001).Students who belong to the different coping styles are markedly different in the average score of three aspects and total score of perceived social support(F=9.12~38.05,P0.001).Most normal college students are positive in the coping styles, which is closely related with their perceived social support.
