Abstract
Objective To observe the curetive effect of BiPAP ventilation therapy for patients suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) with respiratory failure.Methods 20 patients were treated by BiPAP ventilation as experimental group while other 20 patients treated by general O 2 intake via nose-tube as control group.Results The results of blood-gas examination showed that there was no difficults on two groups before treatment (P0.05).After treatment ,the pH value,PaCO 2 and PaCO 2 were significantly improved in experimental group with less short-breath symptom.Conclusions BiPAP ventilation therapy is a good nontraumatic method for treating COPD with respiratory failure.
