Grassland pastoral areas in Uygur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang and its construction of water conservancy

The basic situation of the grassland pastoral areas and the status in quo and existing problems of the settlement of herdsmen in grassland pastoral areas in Uygur autonomous Region of Xinjiang were introduced.The present situation and function of water conservancy construction were analyzed.The corresponding countermeasures were put forward as follows:(1)strategic understanding of the importance of pasture water conservancy to Uygur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang;(2)strengthening of policy and financial support so as to ensure the stable source of funds;(3)construction of settling projects with high standards for herdsmen;(4)construction of forage grass and feeding stuff areas with high standards.
