Current situation and solutions of herdsman settlement in Urumqi and Changji areas of Xinjiang

The status of herdsman settlement in Urumqi and Changji areas was analyzed and the crucial problems of herdsmen settlement in terms of four aspects,including the progress of settlement project,forage production capacity,grassland utilization system and economic efficiency after herdsman settlement were revealed.Combining with the ongoing new rural construction work,the solutions on the object of the new pastoral areas construction,herdsman settlement arrangement,forage production base construction,grassland ecosystem construction were provided in this paper.
