Abstract

Objective To investigate the value of level of plasma BNP in diagnosis and treatment of congestive heart failure.Methods plasma blood BNP was measured in CHF group(n=53) and control group(n= 46) with assay Results The levels of BNP's median±interquartile range were(426.7±502.3) pg/ml and(16.2±20.7) pg/ml in the CHF group and the control group respectively,there was significant difference between the two groups(Z=14.12,P0.001).Blood BNP concentrations of CHF group increased with the severity of CHF.Conclusion BNP is of great value for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of congestive heart failure.
