Comparisons of Two Inserts of Internal Fixation in Treating patella Fractures

Objective:To investigate the different effect of two surgical internal fixation treatments for patella fracture.Methods:A consecutive series of 22 patients with different types of patellar fracture were included in the study using tension band technique for 10 patients and memory alloy patellar concentrator for 12 patients in random.After surgery and follow-up,we evaluated surgery effect according to Lu-Yupu scoring system.Results:The follow-up time was 6~18 months,12 months in average.In the tension band technique group,8 were evaluated as excellent,1 as good,1 as poor,the rate of excellent and good results was 90%.In the memory alloy patellar concentrator group,10were evaluated as excellent,1 as good,1 as poor the rate of excellent and good results was 91.66%.Conclusion: The memory alloy patellar concentrator fixation is an effective treatment for patellar fracture with less complications and easier operations.
