Abstract
Objective To investigate the efficacy of fluvoxamine combining with clozapine in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder(OCD).Method 45 patients with OCD were randomly treated with fluvoxamine combining with clozapine(n=25) and fluvoxamine only(n=20).The efficacy was measured with Yale-Brown obsessive compulsive scale(Y-BOCS),Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA)and Hamilton depression scale(HAMD).Results There were significant differences between two groups in overall response showed by the reduction rate of Y-BOCS,HAMA and HAMD total scores. Conclusion It is suggested that fluvoxamine combining with clozapine have a superior effectiveness in the treatment of OCD.
