Abstract
Purpose To evaluate the therapeutic effec of amniotic membrane transplantation(AMT)on conjunctival culde-sac stenosis. Methods 28 patients(28 eyes)with stenosis of conjunctival culde-sac were treated. The treatment for stenosis of conjunctival culde-sac with amniotic membrane transplantatino. All the patients were followed up for 1-24 months (mean,10months).Results Areas of conjunctival defeats in 27 eyes were covered with implanted amnion 25-30 days, one after the patient had stenosis of culde sac. There wa no allograft immune rejection and secondary infection. Conclusion Amnion is easy to be obtained and the implantation technique with amnion is a very effective way in plasty of the culde sac.
