Abstract

[Objective]To observe the effect of Carvedilol in treatment of chronic heart failure(CHF).[Methods]A total of 76 cases of CHF were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, the 2 groups both received routine anti-heart failure treatment, and treatment group received additional Carvedilol, for 24 weeks. The cardiac function(NYHA),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),6 minutes walking distance, heart rate, blood pressure and fatality rate were all measured before and after treatment in both 2 groups.[Results]Compared with control group, the cardiac function, left ventricular ejection fraction, six minutes walking distance significantly improved in treatment group;blood pressure, heart rate of treatment group markedly decreased, fatality rate declined.[Conclusion]Carvedilol based on conventional treatment has obvious effect on increasing LVEF and 6 minutes walking distance, improving cardiac function and exercise tolerance and survival rate of patients, with less adverse reactions.
