Abstract
American Sinologist Stephen Owen had a new study on the Tang Dynasty poetny following the Chinese people's thinking patterns.First,in terms of time,geography and development,the three aspects of poetry classification,he rewrote the eight century literary history of the development of the Tang Dynasty;Second,from the author's position in society and prevailing aesthetic standards,he re-evaluated those authors;Finally,he re-interpretated the text using intensive reading.
