Abstract

Suspension quantitative method was used to observe the efficacy of chlorine dioxide disinfectant solution generated by the chlorine dioxide generator in killing microorganisms in water and its influencing factors. Results: The chlorine dioxide 0.375 mg/L and 0.25 mg/L with a 1 min contact time and 5 min contact time respectively could reduce Escherichia coli in water to 0 cfu/100ml. Its germicidal efficacy increased with increasing water temperature and decreased with increasing organic substances such as humic acid in water. pH value of water at 6.5~8.5 had no influence on germicidal efficacy.
