Clinical observation of Huangzhi prescription combined with western medicine on diabetic nephropathy

Objective To observe the effect of Huangzhi prescription combined with western medicine on diabetic nephropathy(DN).Methods 110 patients with DN were randomly divided into two groups.54 cases in control group received conventional western medicine therapy.56 patients in treatment group were treated by Huangzhi prescription on the basis of control group treatment.The therapeutic course was three months in two groups.The changes of FPG,HbA1c,TC,TG,LDL-C,HDL-C,serum Cr,uric acid,β2-MG,24 h urine protein and blood albumin were measured before and after treatment.Results The total effective rate in treatment group(89.3%) was superior to that in control group(68.5%,P0.05).FPG,TC,HDL-C,LDL-C and renal function indexes after treatment were improved as compared with those before treatment in two groups(P0.01,P0.05).The decreases of FPG,LDL-C,β2-MG and 24 h urine protein in treatment group were superior to those in control group after treatment(P0.05).Conclusion Huangzhi prescription can obviously reduce the levels of blood sugar and blood lipid in patients with DN,improve renal function,the effect is definite on DN.
