Treatment of diabetic nephropathy with Fuzhenghuazhuotongluo decoction

Objective To observe the effect of Fuzhenghuazhuotongluo decoction on the treatment of diabetic nephropathy.Methods 80 patients with diabetic nephropathy were randomly divided into two groups.Treatment group(n=40) received Fuzhenghuazhuotongluo decoction.Control group(n=40) received Valsartan capsules.The course was six months.24 h urinary protein,serum creatinine(Cr),blood β2-microglobulin(β2-MG),urinary β2-MG,cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),fasting plasma glucose(FPG),2 h fasting glucose(2 h PG) and glycosylated hemoglobin(HbAlc) were measured before and after treatment.Results The total effective rate in treatment group(92.5%) was higher than that in control group(72.5%,P0.05).Laboratory indicators after treatment in treatment group were decreased as compared with those before treatment(P0.01).There was significant difference between two groups after treatment on Laboratory indicators(P0.01).Conclusion Based on effective control of blood glucose Fuzhenghuazhuotongluo decoction can obviously decrease proteinuria excretion in patients with diabetic nephropathy,improve renal function and delay kidney disease progress.
