Abstract

Objective:To improve the CT(computed tomography) recongnition and the diagnostic accuracy of pancreatic carcinoma. Methods .-The CT findings of 120 cases with pancreatic carcinoma proven clinically and pathologically were retrospectively analyzed. Results:The focal lesion of pancreas directly appeared iso-density or hypo-density in 101 cases, and mixed-attenuation in 19;47cases showed hypo-density and 45 iso-hypo mixed-attenuation after enhancement. Indirect signs can be found in some CT. The peri-pancreatic blood vessel and organs were respectively involved in 71 and 37 patients; dilated bile duct and pancreatic duct due to obstruction were respectively seen in 70 and 34. Conclusion: CT is of great value in diagnosis and differential diagnosis of pancreatic carcinoma, CT examination shows clearly pancreatic careino-ma and the extent of peri-pancreatic involvement.
