Abstract
Objective:To study the effect of tonifying spleen-kidney method on kidney antioxidative capability of spleen-kidney Yang deficiency hypothyroid rats,and then exploring its mechanism.Methods:30 Wistar rats,male and female in half,were randomly divided into 3 groups(n=10),namely the control group(control),hypothyroidism(HT),and tonifying group(WB).Spleen-kidney Yang deficiency hypothyroid rat model was induced by intragastric administration of Methimazole,killed the rats after treatment of tonifying Spleen-kidney recipe for 4 weeks.Measuring the contents of GSH-PX,SOD,MDA in kidney issue.Results:Compared with model group,the levels of SOD was increased(P0.01),GSH-PX and MDA was decreased(P0.01or P0.05)in WB group of renal tissue.There was no significant differences(P 0.05) between WB group and control group.Conclusions:Tonifying spleen-kidney method can increase kidney antioxidative capability of spleen-kidney Yang deficiency hypothyroid rats.
