Abstract

Objective To survey the distribution of aminoglycoside-modifying enzyme genes in multidrug-resistant pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated in our hospital in 2005.Methods The antibiotic susceptibility of 31 different antibiotics of P.aeruginosa was tested by K-B method, and 31 multi-drug resistant strains were screened;β-lactamase genes and the outer membrane protein OprD2 gene were detected by polymerase chain reaction(PCR).Results Resistant rates of 31 strains of P.aeruginas against 16 kinds of antibiotic ranged from 48.4%to 100%;the detection rate of β-lactamase gene PER,VIM,DHA,IMP,TEM and OXA-10 was 6.4%,3.2%,3.2%,3.2%,3.2%and 3.2%respectively,and none of the 31 strains possessed genes of GES,SHV and VER,31 isolate of PA lost the outer membrane protein OprD2 gene. Conclusion Resistance to β-lactam compounds in P.aeruginas of our hospital is related to lost the outer membrane protein.
