Abstract

Objective To explore the relationship between IgG antibody titer and hemolytic disease of newborn(HDN).Methods 318 couples whose blood type were O with ABO-incompatible were studed.IgG antibody titer was measured by means of microtubes gel test. Results The OA,OB,O-AB combination accounted for 49.7%(158/318),42.7%(136/318),7.5%(24/318).The cases with serum IgG anti-A,(B) antibody titer of≥128 accounted for 48.1%(153/318).Serum IgG anti-A,(B) antibody efficiency price ≥128 among different blood type combinations had no significant difference(P0.05),with the possibility of newborn HDN occurred.HDN rate in cases with serum levels of IgG anti-A(B) antibody titer ≥128 was 49.0%(75/153),the incidence of HDN level increased with maternal serum levels of IgG anti-A(B) increasing. Conclusion The neonatal HDN incidence of IgG anti-A(B) is proportional to the antibody titer.Detecting serum IgG anti-antibody titer levels regularly has an important role in the prevention and treatment of neonatal HDN.
