Abstract

Objective To determine levels of maternal serum SOD, MDA and VE in patients with premature rupture of membranes(PROM) in order to analyze their significance in pathogenesis of PROM. Methods The levels of maternal serum SOD, MDA and VE of 20 patients with premature rupture of membranes, 30 term-pregnant women were detected by chemocolorimetry. Results The levels of maternal serum MDA of patients with premature rupture of membranes was higher than that of term-pregnant women(P0.05), while the levels of SOD and VE were significantly lower(P0.05, P0.05). Conclusion The three indices are of important significance for treatment and prevention of PROM.
