Abstract

Objective To determine serum SOD、MDA and VE levels of pregnant woment wit h premature rupture of membranes in order to analyze their oxidat ive stress status. Methods The serum levels of SOD、MDA a nd VE of 20 pregnant women with premature rupture of membranes, 30 term pregnant women and 30 non-pregnant women were examined by chemocolorimetry. Res ults The serum level of MDA of term pregnant women was signifi cantly higher than that of non- pregnant women(P0.05), so did the l evels of SOD and VE(both P0.05); the serum level of MDA of pregnant women with premature rupture of membranes was higher than that of term pregnant women(P0.05), while their serum levels of SOD and VE were significantly lower( both P0.05). Conclusion The pregnant women with premature rupture of membranes are in oxidative stre ss.
