Abstract
Iso-Butyl butyrate was synthesized using p-toluent sulfonic acid supported on granule activated carbon as catalyst.Some influencing factors were discussed.It was showed that p-toluent sulfonic acid supported on activated carbon was as excellent catalyst.The yield of iso-butyl butyrate could reach 98.26% When the molar ratio of iso-butyl alcohol to n-butyric acid of 1∶1.4,reaction time of 75min,the dosage of catalyst based on total reactants 5.2%.
