Abstract
Using sodium bisulfate as the catalyst, butyl butyrate was synthesized from butyric acid and butanol. The optimum conditions were as follows:basing on 0.2mol butyric acid, the amount of substance fraction of butanol to butyric acid was 1.5:1,the mass of catalyst was 0.5g,reaction time was 50min.Under those conditions, the highest yield of the reaction can reach 92.4%.
