Abstract
[Objective] To study the impact of Xinfukang on left ventricular remodeling (LVRM) and cardiac function after myocardial infarction (AMI) in rats. [Methods] Myocardial infarction was induced by ligating the descending left coronary artery in male rats. Twenty-four hours later, 48 survived rats with MI were randomly divided into myocardial infarction (MI) control group, sham-operated group, Xinfukang middle dose group and Xinfukang high dose group. After 4 weeks of therapy, the cardiac function was measured. [Results] Compared with sham operated group, all the LVDd, LVDs, IVSd, IVSs, LVPWd and LVPWs, EF, CO, FS of treatment group were statistical different (P0.05). The collagen fibers of sham operated group were increased and disordered. [Conclusions] Xinfukang can prevent LVRM after MI in rats, improve cardiac function, prohibit collagen fibers hyperplasia.
