Comparision of Therapy on Treating Primary Hypertension Senile Patients between Amlodipine Besylate Tablets and Indapamide Tablets

Objective Observing clinical therapy and security of treating primary hypertension hypertension senile(80 years) patients on amlodipine besylate tablets.Methods 105 senile primary hypertension patients were divided randomly into two groups.The patients in groupⅠ(n=53) took amlodipine besylate tablet(5mg/d) by mouth;the patients in groupⅡ(n=52) took indapamide tablet(2.5mg/d) by mouth.They were observed in eight weeks.Results Both systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure decreased obviously after treatment in each group.There was statistical significance compared with two groups before treatment(P0.05).The affect of decreasing blood pressure in group Ⅰ was superior to the affect in group Ⅱ,but there was no statistical significance(P0.05).The adverse drug reactions in amlodipine besylate tablets were less than adverse drug reactions in indapamide tablets.Conclusion It is safe and effective that amlodipine besylate tablets treat senile primary hypertension patients.Amlodipine besylate tablets can be used to decrease blood pressure as a chief drug.
