Observation on the Therapeutic Effect of the Amlodipine Besylate Tablets in 62 Patients with Geriatric Hypertension

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of the amlodipine besylate tablets in patients with geriatric hypertension.Methods Sixty two patients with elder primary hypertension were treated by gradual increment from 2.5mg to 5mg everyday in 4weeks.Before and aftertreatment,clinical data were analysed.Results After 4 weeks,the hypertension was lower(134.2±11.8)/(84.3±6.4)mmHg,than before(165.8±14.5)/(105.2±8.5)mmHg(P0.05).The proportion of effection is 70.97%,in all 90.32%,the side reaction was 6.45%.Conclusion The amlodipine besylate tablets is secure and effective medicine to drop the blood pressure.It is obviously in elder patients of hypertension by this treatment.
