Abstract
Objective To investigate the related factors of depression and the clinical efficacy and safety of citalopram in the treatment of Parkinson disease(PD). Methods 100 patients with PD were assessed by Hamiton Depression Rating Scales(HAMD),Self-Rating Depression Scale(SDS),a self-designed question and Unified PD Rating Scale (UPDRS). Related factors were analyzed by stepwise regression and partial correlation. After assessing,42 patients with depression were randomly divided into control group and therapy group. The therapy group was treated with citalopram, and the control group was treated with olyzanol. The clinical efficacy and safety were observed after treatment. Results 42 cases(42.0%) were identified as suffering from depression. Sex,marriage, family relation,UPDRSⅡI score, dopamine agonists were related factors. Before and after treatment with citalopram, the HAMD score was 23.7±2.8 vs 15.7±1.3,and the UPDRS score was 32.5±12.3 vs 22.8±10.5,and there was significant difference between before and after treatment (P0.05). The effective rate of the therapy group was 80.9%,and the control group was 28.6%,and there was significant difference between two groups (P0.05).Conclusion The related factors are complex in PD with depression. Depression may related to social psychology, neurobiology. Citalopram can improve the depressive symptom in PD and is safety.
