Efficacy of Losaran in Treatment of Old Congestive Heart Failure

Objective To observe the efficacy of losartan in treatment of old congestive heart failure.Methods Fifty50 patients with heart faiture cardiac,wWho had unsatisfactory results under conventional digitals vasodilators therapy were given losarn 25~100 mg orally once a day for 4~8 weeks.The changes of blood pressure(BP),heart rate(HR),left ventricular end diastolic dimension (LVEDd),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),cardiac function (NYHA)were observed.Result After 4~8 weeks therapy BP,HR,LVEDd decreased significantly(P0.05),LVEF increased (P0.01),cardiac function New York Heart Association (NYHA) classification improved.Losartan had few adverse effects.Conclusion The efficacy of losartan in treatment of congestive heart failure is satisfactory.
