The clinical study of Trimetazidine in treating congestive heart failure

Abstract

Objective: To investigate the clinical study of Trimetazidine in treating congestive heart failure.Methods: 236 patients,who had unsatisfactory results under conventional Digitoras,Diuretics,Vasodilators therapy,were given Trimetazidine 20 mg orally 3 times a day for 12 weeks.The changes of heart rate(HR),cardiothoracic ratio,left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVDd),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) and cardiac function(NYHA) were observed.Results: After 12 weeks therapy,HR cardiothoracic ratio and LVDd all decreased significantly(P0.05);LVEF increased(P0.05);Cardiac function(NYHA) improved by1～2 grade.Ibesartan had few adverse effects and patients tolerance was perfect.Conclusion: The effect of Trimetazidine in treating congestive heart failure is satisfactory and has few adverse effects.It is perfect for congesitive heart failure.
