Clinical analysis of non-invasive mechanical ventilation for acute respiratory distress syndrome

Abstract

Objective: To investigate the efficacy of the non-invasive mechanical ventilation in acute respiratory distress syndrome.Methods: 96 patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome from January 2007 to January 2010 in our hos-pital were selected,they were used non-invasive mechanical ventilation on the basis of the combined treatment.Before and after treatment respiratory rate,heart rate,blood pressure,pH,SaO2,PaO2,PaCO3,oxygenation index(PaO2/FiO2) were measured.Results: After treatment of 96 cases with acute respiratory distress syndrome,the original difficulty breathing symptoms improved,pH,SaO2,PaO2,PaO2/FiO2 increased significantly,there was a significant difference compared with before treatment(P0.05);respiratory rate,heart rate,blood pressure,PaCO3 decreased significantly compared with before treatment(P0.05).Conclusion: Non-invasive mechanical ventilation in acute respiratory distress syndrome can quickly relieve the clinical symptoms and improve the blood gas analysis in patients,it is worthy of clinical use.
