Abstract
【Objective】 To explore the variation of the serum myelin base protein(MBP) and neuron specific enolase(NSE) in hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy and to evaluate it in the CT clinical classification and the diagnosis of the course of the disease. 【Methods】 Thirty neonates with HIE were divided into three groups(mild, moderate and severe group)according to the patients' condition,10 neonates in each group.Meanwhile, another 15 healthy neonates were selected as control group. The level of serum MBP was measured by ELISA method, the serum NSE was determined by radioimmunoassay(RIA) and the neonates were checked by coronal-CT in one week after being born. 【Results】 The serum NSE level of the neonates increased significantly during the acute stage, compared with the control group(P0.05);The serum MBP level in severe group increased obviously during the acute stage(P0.01);There was significant difference between the control group and severe group(P0.001);The CT clinical classification was not in conformity with the diagnosis of the course of the disease. 【Conclusions】 Serum NSE may be a sensitive marker for clinical diagnosis and the diagnosis of the disease course in patients with HIE,serum MBP can be used to evaluate the degree of brain injury of HIE patient.Coronal-CT clinical classification can not be evaluated precisely the degree of brain injury of HIE patient.
