Expression of Ki67 antigen in ovarian tumor and clinical significance

Abstract

Objective To study the expression of Ki67 in ovarian tumors.Methods Immunohistochemistry S-P method was used to detect the expression of Ki67 in 60 ovarian tumors.Results The expression of Ki67 in ovarian cancer was more higher than that in benign ovarian tumor (P0.01);In ovarian cancer, there was significant difference among clinical stageⅠ-Ⅱ VS Ⅲ-Ⅳand histological grade 1 VS 2-3 (P0.01,P0.05).Conclusion Ki67 may serve as a useful marker of the biological behavior of ovarian tumors, and can provide useful information for prognosis of ovarian tumor patients.
