Abstract

Objective To study the expression and clinical significance of p27 in epithelial ovarian cancer. Methods The expression of p27 was observed by immunohistochemical assay in 15 benign ovarian tumors and 45 epithelial ovarian cancer, the extent of expression is evaluated by half-quantitation method. Results The positive rate of p27 expression is 57.8% in epithelial ovarian cancer, 73.3% in epithelial ovarian cancer, the strong expression rate is 13.3% in epithelial ovarian cancer 46.7% in benign ovarian tumors. Conclusion p27 is related to the incidence, differentiation grades and lymphoid metastasis of epithelial ovarian cancer and is useful for compositive clinical therapy.
