Abstract
Objective To study the relationship between the serum IGF-Ⅱ and lipid peroxidation levels in patients with hepatitis C.Methods Serum IGF-Ⅱ levels were measured with RIA.Plasma MDA,SOD and GSH-PX levels were measured with chemocolorimetry in 62 patients with hepatitis C as well as in 35 controls. Results serum IGF-Ⅱ and MDA levels were significantly higher in the patients than those in the controls(P0.01).Correlation analysis showed that serum IGF-Ⅱ levels were positively correlated(r=0.6014,P0.01).Conclusion The higher IGF-Ⅱ levels were closely associated with the lipid peroxidation disturbance in patients with hepatitis C.
