Abstract

The author puts forward the necessity of rebuilding the school culture in the context of curriculum reform in foreign counties and the reality of the new curriculum implementation in China. This paper identifies the goals of school culture reconstruction in spiritual and system levels. At the spiritual level, it stresses three elements such as all teachers working together to carry out missions and ambitions; having clear and definite sense of direction and sense of responsibility; having correct values and independent professional awareness. At the system level, two strategies were proposed: 1) to turn the tradition of bureaucratic model to colleague model as new power structure; 2) to build the school-based teaching research system.
