Abstract

This article has analyzed the meaning and usage of have in Poetry from two aspects: one is have+noun pattern,in which it has four meanings and usages: first,have,opposite to don't have,is a verb;second,have,with an abstract noun,constitute a relatively stable phrase;third,predictive auxiliary;forth,the different usages and fixed structures of have.The other is have+adiective pattern,about which the author questioned the traditional explanation of tautology X however and ……appearance and regarded have as a degree adverb.
