Abstract
Objective To investigate the efficacy of azithromycin in treatment of children bronchial asthma and effect on helper T lymphocyte function in peripheral blood of children with bronchial asthma. Methods All 86 cases bronchial asthma were randomly divided into observation group and control group of 43 cases in each. The efficacy and clinical symptoms and signs disappeared time, serum IFN-γ,IL-4 and IFN-γ/IL-4 ratio changes of two groups were compared. Results The efficacy of the observation group was better than that of the control group 1 and clinical symptoms degree of improvement in the observation group was more obvious than that in the control group 1(P0.05).IFN-γ of observation group and control group 1 after treatment were significantly higher than before treatment,IL-4 was significantly lower than that before treatment(P0.05),IFN-γ/IL-4 ratio was significantly higher than that before treatment(P0.05),and the observation group improved more significantly than in the control group 1(P0.05)and was more closer to the healthy control group. Conclusion Azithromycin is effective in children with bronchial asthma, and significantly improves clinical symptoms and signs, considered by increasing expression of IFN-γ,inhibiting the inflammatory cytokines IL-4 expression, thereby regulating anti-inflammatory Th1/Th2 cell imbalance and exerting immune regulation.
