Clnical Study of Tripterygium Wilfordii’s Treatment Effect on IgA Nephropathy

Objective To observe the clinical treatment effect of tripterygium wilfordii on IgA Nephropathy. Methods 60 patients who were diagnosed as IgA nephropathy in our hospital during Jan 2006-Jan 2009 were randomly diviended into treatment group and control group,each contained 30 patients.The treatment group were given tripterygium wilfordii 60mg each day,tid po,and the control group were given enalapril 10mg each day,qd po,and both continued for therapeutical period of 12 months. Results There were 20 effective cases,6 partial effective cases in the treatment group;and 12 effective cases,7 partial effective cases in the control group. The treatment group’s total effective rate 86.67% is obviously higher than the control group’s 63.33%,and compared with the control group,there is significant statistical difference (P0.05).After 12 months’treatment ,the treatment group’s urine protein and serum albumin compared with the control group’s also has significant statistical difference(P0.05). Conclusions Tripterygium wilfordii could difinitely reduce the IgA patients’urine protein and raise the patients' serum albumin,has less side effect,and it worthy of being widely used.
