Abstract
Objective To establish HPLC method for the determination of the content of caffeic acid in Chanhou Tieshijin. Methods The determination was performed on HangBang C18 column (200 mm×4.6 mm, 5 μm). The mobile phase was methanol-buffer phosphate (23∶77) at a flow rate of 1.0 mL/min. The UV detection wavelength was set at 323 nm and the sample size was 10 μL. Results The linear range of caffeic acid was 0.052~0.26 μg (r=0.999 8), with average recovery rate of 97.44% (RSD=0.78%). Conclusion The established method is simple, rapid and accurate, and suitable for the quality control of Chanhou Tieshijin.
