On the Reproduction of Imagery and Style in the Translation of Chinese and English Poems

Imagery and styles are important aspects in poetry creation. By analyzing and comparing some typical examples of poetry translation, this paper attempts to discuss some problems about the reproduction of imagery and literary style in the translation of Chinese and English poems. The author argues that only by interpreting the context accurately can we understand the cultural connotations of the original works and perceive their styles.
