Abstract

Objective: The aim of this study is to observe the effects of valsartan on patients with congestive heart failure.Method: Using random and single blind contrast during the period of 18 weeks, we divided 50 patients with congestive heart failure into valsartan group(n=25)and the control group(n=25). In addition to the evaluation of clinical effect, LVEF, 6 min walk trial and the other biochemistry parameters were measured. Result: The clinical prognosis of the patients in the vaisartan group were better than that of the patients in the control group, and LVEF, LEDV, LESY and 6 min walk trail of the patients in the valsartan group were all siganificangly ameliorated compared with those of the patients before treatment or in the control group or after treat ment (all P 0.01 ). No siganificant difference in biochemistry parameters could be found between two groups(P 0.05 ).Conclusion: Valsartan possesses obvious effect in treating patients with congestive heart failure, and is valuable to be spreaded broadly in clinic.
