Clinical analysis for the postoperative complications of Mesh plug hernia repair of inguinal hernia

Objective To analyze the causes of postoperative complications of Mesh plug hernia repair for inguinal hernia and further improve the effectiveness.Methods The clinical data were retrospectively analyzed in 106 patients who had mesh-plug in tension-free inguinal hernia repair.Results The surgery was successful in the 106 patients with a follow-up of 6 to 24 months.Totally 18 cases of urinary retention,3 cases of hydrocele or hematoscheocele of scrotum,6 cases of residual hernial sac edema,one case of liquefaction of subcutaneous tissue,2 cases of wound infection,3 cases of groin foreign body sensation,and one case of recurrence were observed after operation.Conclusions The Mesh Plug tension-free inguinal hernioplasty is the appropriate for groin hernia repair.The key for avoid operation complications included comprehensive preioperative period management,standard operation,and appropriate surgical repair accessories.
