Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of coenzyme Q10 combined with fructose diphosphate in treatment of children with viral myocarditis. Methods Fifty-four children with viral myocarditis who were hospitalized in the Children's Hospital of Hunan Province from February to August 2011 were randomly divided into two groups(each n=27).The observation group received coenzyme Q10 combined with fructose diphosphate based on conventional treatment, while the control group received conventional treatment only. Results The therapeutic effect of the observation group was significantly superior to that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).After 2 weeks of treatment, the decrease extent of creatine kinase (CK),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05). Conclusions Combined use of coenzyme Q10 and fructose diphosphate based on conventional treatment can significantly improve the therapeutic effect in children with viral myocarditis.
