Abstract
Objective: This study is to evaluate the efficacy of the combination therapy of Shengmai injection and fructose diphosphate sodium on children with viral myocarditis. Methods: 76 of clinically diagnosed patients of viral myocarditis were selected for the study. They were randomly divided into three groups: control group with regular treatment, group I with regular treatment plus fructose diphosphate sodium and group II with regular treatment plus Shengmai injection and fructose diphosphate sodium. Results: The outcome was assessed clinically. The overall response rates in group I,group II were 76.0% and 96.2%,respectively.The patients in control group had a response of 68.0%.Group II showed a significant difference in response as compared with group I and control group(P 0.05).Conclusions: The observed effect of the combination therapy Shengmai injection with fructose diphosphate suggests that it can be effectively and safely used for the treatment of viral myocarditis.
