Clinical observation on treatment of neuroasthma with budesonide combined with acanthopanax senticosus (刺五加)

Abstract
Objective:To observe the efficacy of budesonide inhalation combined with acanthopanax senticosus injection(刺五加注射液) infused intravenously taken in treating patients of neuroasthma,and to investigate its mechanism.Methods:Sixtyeight patients of neuroasthma were divided into three groups randomly,treated with budesonide inhalation combined with acanthopanax senticosus injection infused intravenously(combined therapy group),budesonide inhalation alone(budesonide group) and acanthopanax senticosus injection infused intravenously alone(acanthopanax senticosus group) respectively for 2 weeks.The changes of clinical symptoms and pulmonary function before and after treatment were observed.Results:The clinical symptoms and pulmonary function were improved in all the three groups after treatment (P0.05 or P0.01),but the improvement was more significant in the combined therapy group(P0.05 or P0.01).Conclusion:Budesonide inhalation combined with acanthopanax senticosus injection infused intravenously is an effective and safe therapy in treating patients with neuroasthma.
