Acanthopanax senticosus injection in treating angina pectoris

Objective To study the effect of acanthopanax senticosus injection on coronary heart disease with angina pectoris.Methods Sixty six patients were divided into two groups:36 patients treated with acanthopanax senticosus injection 60 ml in 10% glucose 500 ml,iv.drip,once aday,for 10 days as treatment group; 30 patients belonged to control group treated with which is consisted of glucose,insulin and potassium chloridide,iv.drip once aday for 10 days.Results The total responsive rate in symptoms was 80.6% and that in electrocardiogram(ECG) was 69.4% in the treatment group,which was higher than those of the control group,respectively 56.7% and 43.3% (P 0.05 ),the total number of leads in which the STsegment is decreased in the ECG 12 leads(NST) and the total sum of the depression of ST segment(∑ST) of ECG showed major improvement,heart beat and mean arterial blood pressure in acanthopanax senticosus insection group were decreased after treatment(P 0.01 ).Conclusion Acanthopanax senticosus injection proves a good curative effect and few adverse reactions on coronary heart disease with angina pectoris.
