A Clinical Study of High Intensity Focused Ultrasound for Advanced Pancreatic Carcinoma

Abstract

Objective To evaluate the recent curative effiect and security of High Intensity Focused Ultrasound(HIFU) in treating patients with advanced pancreatic carcinoma.Methods 64 patients with advanced pancreatic carcinoma were treated by High Intensity Focused Ultrasound.Results The CBR was 62.4%.Including 7.8% CR,31.2% PR and 23.4% SD.No complications occurred.Conclusion The preliminary results show that HIFU has high efficacy and safety for patients with advanced pancreatic carcinoma.It is worthy to have a further clinical study.
